A
Step Above Service Evaluations
recruits honest and observant people, across the
United States, to evaluate customer service,
courtesy, sales effort, and store cleanliness.
We hire people, as independent contractors,
to act as evaluators in areas where our clients'
locations need to be serviced.
Below are some of our most frequently asked
questions.
How
do find out about assignments available with A
Step Above Service Evaluations?
Once
you Sign Up
to become an evaluator for A Step
Above, you will be added to our database of
evaluators. When we have an assignment in
one of the cities you signed up for, you will be
contacted, via EMAIL, with the assignment
specifics. Assignments are granted to those
evaluators that meet the assignment
criteria. You will be contacted again if the
assignment is given to you.
What
happens once an Evaluator accepts an assignment?
The
Evaluator will receive an outline of the
assignment requirements and deadline, via e-mail.
The requirements must be understood before completing
the assignment. Questions regarding the
assignment requirements should be directed to A
Step Above prior to the assignment date.
How
are completed reports submitted?
This is dependent on the client. Please refer to the assignment
guidelines for report submittal information.
All reports and receipts must be submitted within
the stated time frame. A Step Above reserves
the right to reschedule any assignment that is not
submitted on time.
What
if I accepted an assignment and cannot complete it
by the deadline?
If
you accept an assignment and cannot complete it or
need an extension, please contact your scheduler
right away. Evaluators who do not complete
assignments and do not notify us will not be
contacted with future opportunities.
How
much do Evaluators get
paid?
Evaluator
payment varies by assignment. When you are
contacted for an assignment, you are told the pay
rate offered for that particular evaluation.
When
can I expect payment for assignments completed?
A
Step Above issues checks on the 30th of each month
for assignments completed the previous month.
An Independent Contractor Invoice must be
submitted for each assignment or payment will not
be made.

What
does an Evaluator do and how does the system work?
All
types of industries use evaluators to help improve
the quality of their goods and services. A
Step Above clients provide us with a list of
locations across the country that they want
evaluated. We use our database to locate
evaluators convenient to the location that needs
to be evaluated. The Evaluator is then
contacted, via email or phone, and given the
basics of the assignment. Once the Evaluator
accepts the assignment, an outline of the
assignment requirements and deadline is provided
to the Evaluator.
What
is evaluated?
It
all depends on the clients’ requirements.
Most of our clients are from the retail and
hospitality industries. Their requirements
usually include evaluating customer service, food
quality, cleanliness and other aspects of their
business. A Step Above Service Evaluations are based
on the facts.
Do
Evaluators remain anonymous?
The
Evaluator plays the role of a typical customer
while being observant of things they need to
evaluate. It is crucial that the Evaluator
never divulge their identity to personnel or other
customers. Recognition will result in
non-payment.
Can
the Evaluator take notes?
Yes.
But be careful not to be noticed. There are
creative ways of taking notes without being
obvious to personnel. We suggest that you
use a fitting room or restroom stall to take any
needed notes.
How
do I become an Evaluator?
Simply
complete the A Step Above application. We
will then be in contact with you when there are
opportunities in your area.
